On This Day, We’ll Visit 3 Iconic Sites: Jeita Grotto, Harissa, and Byblos
Our first stop will be Jeita Grotto, a natural wonder that was nominated as one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Prepare to be amazed as you embark on a scenic cable car ride up to the Upper Grotto. Afterward, you’ll enjoy a unique experience with a train ride down to the Lower Grotto, where you’ll board a boat and glide beneath the stunning river cavern.
Next, we’ll visit Our Lady of Lebanon, the grand statue located in Harissa. Overlooking the breathtaking Jounieh Bay, it offers panoramic views that rival those of Rio de Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer statue. You’ll take a scenic one-way cable car ride up to Harissa, which takes about 15 minutes and provides incredible views of the coast.
Our final stop will be the historic city of Byblos, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, with a history dating back to 8000 BC. Here, we’ll stroll through the charming old souk, visit the Byblos Castle, explore the Fossils Museum, walk along the Byblos Old Port, and admire the St. Jean Marc Church.
